ReSource is commercializing a thermochemical process to produce furoic acid and FDCA, a valuable platform chemical and critical monomer for PEF, a PET alternate with superior physical properties. Furfural (from lignocellulosic biomass) and CO2 are the feedstock materials. FDCA and PEF have end applications in medicine, cosmetics, and packaging.
